About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This is a custom-made cabinet, manufactured by the Italian furniture maker GieMme Stile in 1990. The piece of furniture is entirely made of richly figured burr walnut veneer, which gives it an exclusive appearance. The design is special due to the possibility of using it freestanding, thanks to the fully finished back. The cabinet was manufactured in Vicenza, Italy, and measures 210 cm high, 100 cm wide, and 58 cm deep. A characteristic detail is the ingenious mechanism where the doors slide completely into the sides of the cabinet, making them disappear from view. The interior is functionally arranged with two wooden and two glass shelves, a pull-out work surface that can serve as a desk, and a drawer at the bottom. The furniture is in excellent preserved condition, which testifies to the high quality of craftsmanship and materials. The original finish and construction are completely intact, preserving the character of this custom-made piece. This is not a series production, but a unique piece made to order. As an elegant and functional statement piece, this cabinet can serve as a sophisticated room divider or as a showpiece against a wall. It fits seamlessly into a classic, eclectic, or modern interior for those who appreciate Italian design and exceptional craftsmanship.
