Estimated value: €900 – €1,400 This wooden Nat figure has been assessed based on its material, technique, iconography, condition, dimensions, and market comparison with similar 19th-century Burmese Nat figures. The figure depicts a standing figure in anjali mudra (prayer gesture), with a high crown and calm, aristocratic features, characteristic of Thagyamin, the king of the Nats within the Burmese spiritual tradition. The figure is entirely hand-carved from a single solid block of wood and was originally intended for placement in a home altar or temple niche, which is confirmed by its flatly finished reverse side. The surface shows a naturally developed patina with old wear and scattered insect traces, consistent with long-term aging and religious use. There are no indications of modern lacquer, restoration, or artificial aging. The quality of the carving, the consistent iconographic features, and the authentic age of the wood jointly support this value range. Dimensions H 63 × W 16 cm
