Product description
This desk was designed by French designer Jacques Hauville for BEMA Editions in the 1960s. Made of mahogany, it is a representative example of post-war French modernist design. Its silhouette is distinguished by clean lines and thoughtful functionality, characteristic of Hauville's work.
The desk's structure rests on a tapered, braced base that gives it stability and elegance. The work surface is topped with an integrated shelf, offering additional storage space. Below the top, two drawers with round handles frame an open central niche, optimizing organization. The glossy finish highlights the warm tone and natural grain of the mahogany.
Presented in excellent condition, this piece of furniture has retained its original finish and shows careful maintenance over the decades. The wood has developed a discreet patina that adds to its authentic character. The construction is solid and all parts are original.
Thanks to its compact dimensions, this desk easily fits into a home office, bedroom, or living room. Its timeless aesthetic allows it to harmonize equally well with a Mid-Century Modern interior as with a more contemporary or classic decor.
