About this seller
ProfessionalProduct description
This solid pine sideboard was selected by Charlotte Perriand for the furnishings of the renowned Les Arcs 1600 and 1800 ski resorts in the 1970s.
It perfectly embodies the designer's warm and functional approach, favoring natural materials and clean lines for mountain interiors.
Made of pine, this storage unit features a robust construction with a top drawer and a door opening onto white interior shelves. The recessed circular handles, characteristic of the design of this era, add a subtle graphic touch to the front. The natural wood tone highlights the grain and knots, typical of the pine used for Les Arcs furniture.
The sideboard is in good overall condition, retaining a beautiful patina that speaks to its history. It is structurally sound and ready for use.
This iconic piece will find its place naturally in a chalet, Scandinavian, or vintage-style interior. It brings a touch of authenticity and history of French design, ideal as a small side table in a living room, entryway or bedroom.
