Product description
This is a characteristic, handmade tripod stool from the mid-twentieth century, executed in a clear brutalist style. The design is characterized by robust, sculptural forms and an emphasis on the material's texture, giving it an authentic and powerful appearance. Crafted from solid wood, this stool is finished with a dark brown stain that accentuates the deep, expressive wood grain. Both the seat and the three sturdy, tapered legs are hand-worked, resulting in a unique, organic surface. The construction is solid and testifies to traditional craftsmanship, typical of the 1950s and 1960s period from which this piece presumably originates (Spanish or French style). The overall condition is good and in accordance with the object's age and use. Over the years, the wood has developed a rich patina, contributing to the stool's lived-in character. The visible traces of the manufacturing process and the life of the furniture piece make each item unique. This stool is a versatile object that can serve as an extra seat, a side table for a book or a plant, or purely as a decorative, sculptural element in the room. It fits perfectly into an interior with a preference for brutalist, rustic, or eclectic styles, where it adds texture and an earthy accent.
