EO-017 is a large-format, industrial steel object whose original function deliberately recedes into the background. The massive, only three-centimeter-deep panel is perforated by a multitude of irregularly distributed openings. Different diameters, traces of processing, and the raw surface create a pattern that appears less constructed than evolved over a long period. Detached from its original functional context, the perception of the object changes completely. The seemingly random perforations become a graphic composition, while oxidations, discolorations, unevenness, and working traces visibly preserve the material's industrial past. With a height of 175 cm, EO-017 has an unusually strong spatial presence. On the wall, the object appears as a blend of relief, industrial artifact, and abstract Sculpture. The openings, in particular, react to their surroundings: wall surface, light, and shadow become part of the object and change its appearance depending on the time of day and perspective. EBBE OBJECTS does not consider such finds as utilitarian objects in need of restoration. Their traces are deliberately preserved. Material, aging, and former function together form the object's identity. Dimensions: W 61 × H 175 × D 3 cm.
