This brutalist safari chair from the 1960s stands out with its striking construction of solid wood and heavy saddle leather. The Brazilian design almost entirely dispenses with screws or glue, relying instead on visible, handcrafted mortise-and-tenon joints. Solid dowels pass through the frame’s broad wooden sides. Protruding at different lengths, they support the seat. The thick cognac-brown leather forms a suspended sling seat, tensioned with straps and buckles. The backrest is flexibly constructed and adapts to the angle of the sitter’s back. Details: good craftsmanship, High-quality materials, Made in Spain.
