Product description
Add character to your interior with this rare, brutalist pendant lamp by the Danish company Sejer Keramik (designed by Fridtjof Sejersen). An absolute eye-catcher from the 60s/70s. Although the lamp appears to be made of patinated metal or copper at first glance, the globe is handcrafted from heavy stoneware (ceramic). Sejer was known for this unique, raw finish with metallic oxides. The hand-cut round holes create – in combination with the cream-white reflective interior – a spectacular and atmospheric light pattern on the walls as soon as the lamp is lit. The original, baked-in factory stamp ("SEJER DENMARK") is located on top of the lamp housing, guaranteeing the authenticity of this mid-century collector's item. Country of origin: Denmark Manufacturer: Sejer Keramik (designer: Fridtjof Sejersen) Period: 1960s / 70s Style: Mid-Century Modern / Brutalism Material: Ceramic (stoneware) with a metallic glaze, metal chain Condition: In beautiful vintage condition with a clear factory stamp Sphere height: 45 cm Sphere diameter: approx. 35 cm Chain length: 102 cm (links easily shortened)
