About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This coffee table is a distinct expression of 1980s design, blending Brutalist and Postmodern aesthetics. The piece is defined by its dramatic contrast of materials and textures, making it a strong focal point for a seating area.
The design features a substantial rectangular tabletop with a highly textured, lunar-like surface, finished in a dark grey, metallic tone. This rough, tactile top rests on a base composed of two blocky, geometric legs with a polished chrome finish. The juxtaposition of the raw, matte top with the sleek, reflective base is characteristic of the bold design language of the era.
The table's solid construction and materials speak to its durability. Its condition is consistent with its vintage, preserving the intended character of the contrasting finishes. The piece retains its original structural integrity and visual impact.
With its strong architectural presence, this coffee table anchors a living room and pairs well with both vintage and contemporary furnishings. It is particularly suited for interiors that embrace statement pieces and textural variety, from minimalist to eclectic.
