An extraordinary and massive unique piece of European Brutalism (1970s/1980s). This handcrafted coffee table features a heavy, asymmetrical stone top, designed as an artistic mosaic of different colored slate and natural stone segments.
Stylistically, the table is strongly inspired by the work of the famous sculptor Paul Kingma, but according to the elegant, embedded brass plaque, it originates from a studio or designer named **"Design P"**. In addition to the stone, fine geometric inlays of brass, copper, and rings, as well as a British Queen Elizabeth coin, are embedded into the tabletop – a typical and charming detail for custom-made pieces of this era.
The top is supported by a geometric, black-lacquered wooden base, providing a modern, architectural contrast to the rustic stone.
**Condition:**
Very good vintage condition. The materials have developed a beautiful, authentic patina over the decades. No major damages. Extremely heavy, indestructible quality (weight approx. 50 kg).
