Brutalist or popular art mirror in solid wood from the 1930s
Magnificent frame in curved stained fir wood.
Very thick old mercury mirror.
This is only the second time we have encountered a mirror of this type and we have not yet elucidated its history.
The shape of the frame reminds us of the wood used for barrels. However, it was not this type of wood that was used for this type of craftsmanship; oak, chestnut or acacia were preferred.
However, handcrafted, this wood seems to be a recycled part of a wooden production.
The mystery therefore continues but the charm is there whatever it is, this mirror will be a piece of choice within your decoration.
