Product description
Very beautiful large brutalist wall mirror in brass and grey metal resembling tin, crafted by Jean Goardère. Beautiful French artisanal craftsmanship characteristic of his work, featuring a wide metal frame cut and worked by hand, highlighted with brass, soldered tin cords, and small raised decorative motifs. Vintage from the 1970s. Very beautiful free and dynamic shape, almost shield-like, with a deliberately irregular and raw finish, embodying a brutalist aesthetic. The mirror is mounted on a black-painted wooden panel on the back, with its original hanging system. A decorative piece of high quality and large size. 58cm in height, 44.5cm in maximum width. Very good overall condition. The mirror's surface shows some pitting, small stains, and signs of age, particularly visible up close, but remaining harmonious and consistent with the piece's age. Weighs approximately 3kg. Additional details: - Designer: Jean Goardère - Material: Tin - Colour: silver (Color) - Period: 1970s
