Product description
Very beautiful large brutalist wall mirror in brass and pewter-type grey metal, work by Jean Goardère. Beautiful French craftsmanship characteristic of his work, with a wide metal frame cut and worked by hand, highlighted with brass, soldered pewter cords, and small punctual relief motifs. Vintage from the 1970s. Very beautiful free and agitated shape, almost a crest, with a deliberately irregular and raw finish, of brutalist aesthetic. The mirror is mounted on a black-painted wooden panel on the reverse, with its original hanging system. A decorative piece of good quality and large format.
58cm high, 44.5cm max width. Very good general condition. The mirror glass shows some pitting, small spots, and signs of age, visible especially up close, but remaining harmonious and consistent with the age of the piece. Approximately 3kg.
