Brutalist/Mid-Century Scandinavian. A set of 4 beautiful original Mid-Century dining chairs with a beautiful spot-on cord paper braid. Period: 1960s. Material: teak frame & beautiful paper cord seat and back. Frame is teak wood. Considering the age in good vintage condition. The braid of paper cord in really pointy with a very rare motif. Unique in its kind. Beautiful for the living room at a long dining table this beautiful set of 4 midcentury modern chairs . These beautiful dining chairs are an enrichment to the interior. What a great weave, top art!
Scandinavian designers have used a lot of paper-cord for their chairs.

Paper-cord consists of three very long strips of gray paper (the width of which depends on how thick the cord is to be).The thickest versions consist of 5 strips of gray paper.Those strips are folded in half lengthwise several times and then twisted into strands. Then the strands are twisted into a cord just like rope.
The paper cord is coated with a thin layer of wax to make it somewhat resistant to dirt and moisture.
Paper-cord exists in three color varieties, natural, white and black.For applications on chairs where the paper-cord is wrapped around point thumbs and when similar sharp kinks occur, the white and black varieties are not suitable.
Furthermore, paper-cord is an extremely strong material that can easily last for years on chair seats under normal use.
Scandinavian designers in particular have used paper-cord a lot for their chairs. Possibly in consultation and if you are on my route to bring!!!Papercord is gorgeous, nice and tight and is definitely not worn through. Wood has light signs of use.
