Product description
This Kalmar 'Ice Block' wall lamp is a characteristic design from the Brutalist period, produced by Franken KG. The fixture is distinguished by its sculptural, ice-like glass elements that create a dramatic and diffuse play of light, typical of the expressive character of mid-century lighting. The lamp is crafted from heavy, textured glass resting on a metal frame. The dimensions are 26 centimeters in width, 26 centimeters in height, and 14 centimeters in depth. The transparent glass contrasts subtly with the silver-colored metal backplate, contributing to the robust, architectural appearance of the piece. The object is in good condition, commensurate with its age and previous use. The original wiring and the authentic manufacturer's label are still present, confirming the provenance and character of this vintage piece. This wall lamp comes into its own perfectly in a Brutalist or eclectic interior. The sculptural design functions not only as a light source but also as a striking art object on the wall, ideal for a hallway, living room, or bedroom.
