About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
Unique, authentic 19th-century religious art workshop diptych. These are original factory galvanoplastic matrices (test sheets) used for copper icons production. Outstanding, raw, and highly aesthetic brutalist character. The lack of anatomical facial features—replaced by blank, eerie geometric shapes and an accidental surreal floral motif—creates an intense, hauntingly beautiful art preview. Perfect statement piece for high-end loft spaces, industrial interiors, or professional cabinet of curiosities / wunderkammer collection. Sold as a set of 2 pieces.
Conditions: Very good vintage state. Thin metal covered in an authentic, deep, dark organic patina of time. No structural cracks, no mechanical damage.
Dimensions:
23.5 x 19 cm & 13.5 x 11 cm
/ 9.25 x 7.48 inches & 5.31 x 4.33 inches
