Product description
This sculptural bronze candlestick comes from the renowned metal workshop Harjes and was crafted in the 1960s. The design is characterized by a striking, brutalist aesthetic, accentuated by the organically textured surface and star-shaped base.
The candlestick is cast entirely from solid bronze and displays Harjes' signature craftsmanship, resulting in a vibrant, irregular texture. The golden-brown patina of the metal lends the piece a warm radiance. The construction is solid and stable, with a deep bowl to securely hold a candle.
The candlestick is in good condition, commensurate with its age. Over the decades, the bronze has developed a natural patina that underscores the piece's authentic vintage character. Its structural integrity is fully intact.
As a striking decorative object, this candlestick fits perfectly into brutalist or mid-century modern interiors. It adds a strong sculptural accent to a sideboard, dining table or console and harmonizes particularly well with natural materials such as wood or natural stone.
