Product description
An exceptional German design chair combining timeless aesthetics with outstanding functionality. The **fox 1360** was manufactured by **Brunner**, one of Germany’s leading producers of premium contract furniture, and designed by **Roland Schmidt / LSS designer**. Developed for demanding professional environments, the fox collection is known for its elegant design, durability and exceptional build quality. The beautifully curved black moulded plywood shell contrasts with a slender, polished chrome tubular steel frame and a light-coloured writing tablet with exposed multiplex edges. The combination creates a distinctive, understated design that works equally well in contemporary interiors, creative studios and professional spaces. A particularly interesting feature is the **original Brunner ST30 writing tablet**. Its sophisticated mechanism allows the tablet to swivel approximately 90° for easy access, move into a comfortable writing position or fold completely down and aside when not required. Brunner registered a related swivelling and folding tablet mechanism as a German utility model in 1998. These chairs originally furnished the lecture hall of a **research institute on Friedrichstraße in Berlin-Mitte**, where they were used for presentations, seminars and conferences. Built to professional standards, the chairs are exceptionally sturdy and stable, with a precisely constructed chrome frame and a reliable writing tablet mechanism. A comparable configuration belongs to the premium segment of professional contract furniture. **Condition** All chairs have been cleaned and refurbished and are offered in good vintage condition. As former institutional furniture, they show authentic signs of age and use, including scratches, small dents and marks in the wooden shells. Minor areas of worn black finish have been carefully touched up, while characteristic surface wear remains visible. **Specifications** - Manufacturer: Brunner, Germany - Model: fox 1360 - Shell: 16N - Designer: Roland Schmidt / LSS designer - Writing tablet: original ST30 - Materials: black moulded plywood, polished chrome-plated steel, light-coloured laminated multiplex - Height: approx. 85.5 cm - Width: approx. 48 cm - Depth: approx. 54.5 cm - Seat height: approx. 45 cm - Writing tablet: approx. 33 × 20 cm - Condition: good vintage condition, cleaned and refurbished **26 chairs available.** Sold individually, in matching sets or in larger quantities upon request.
