Product description
This Scheurich Model 401-28 vase is a classic example of West German pottery from the 1970s. The piece features a distinctive cylindrical body with a single loop handle, characteristic of the era's robust ceramic forms. Crafted from ceramic, the vase showcases a striking glaze combination. A deep, matte brown base is interrupted by a vibrant, textured band of orange that encircles the midsection, creating a bold visual contrast. The base bears the clear imprint '401-28 W.GERMANY', confirming its origin and model number. The vase remains in excellent structural condition, retaining its original glaze finish and structural integrity. The interior shows signs of age consistent with its history, while the exterior maintains its vivid coloration and tactile surface. This piece serves as a strong accent in mid-century modern or eclectic interiors. Its earthy tones and geometric form make it suitable for display on a sideboard or shelving unit, either as a standalone object or part of a larger collection of vintage ceramics.
