Magnificent wall candle holder (sconce) from the 19th century in bronze with a medal patina. This unique piece stands out with its richly crafted arm adorned with a chimera, an emblematic symbol of the Empire and Neo-Classical style.
The chiselling work is remarkable, particularly on the creature's wings and the cup (bobeche) featuring acanthus leaf motifs.
Material: Solid bronze (beautiful authentic patina with traces of verdigris proving its antiquity).
Decoration: Winged chimera, scrolls of leaves, and architectural motifs.
Condition: Good condition.
Note: The rear fixing system (pivot) is present, ideal for being embedded in a wooden support or wall base.
