The number 816 engraved on the base suggests high-quality mass production by a workshop or foundry established at the time.
Neoclassical-Empire style, late 19th - early 20th century.
Lamps and decorative objects featuring putti or cherubs were particularly prized by the European bourgeoisie as a symbol of refinement and elegance.
Good condition and a rare piece.
Fully restored by a professional lampmaker.
Gold-tone socket cover + black E27 socket, 4W warm white vintage cube LED bulb, black switch and plug, antique gold-tone cable (2m long).
Waxed with microcrystalline wax to prevent oxidation of the bronze.
