A special and rare pair of solid bronze relief plates, crafted by the sculptor M. Thomas. These reliefs were originally part of a high-quality Stations of the Cross series. The set is distinguished by the presence of specific foundry features indicating skilled, artisanal production for an ecclesiastical setting.
* Casting Stamps & Markings: The reverse side features the rare casting stamps "D" (Droite / Right) and "S" (Gauche-Sinistre / Left). This confirms that these plates were cast as a complementary pair for a symmetrical arrangement in a church building.
* Numbering: One of the plates is marked with the number "4", which refers to the 4th Station of the Cross (Jesus meets his mother).
* Craft Process: The slight weight difference between the two plates (1930 g and 1800 g) is characteristic of the artisanal sand casting process of this period.
In excellent antique condition with a very fine sheen. The reverse side features the original threaded mounting points for easy wall mounting.
