Product description
This exquisite bronze jardinière, weighing approximately 1.9 kilograms, is a superb example of design in the Rococo style, inspired by the elegance and refinement of 18th-century French art.
The piece is cast in bronze with a soft aged green patina, featuring the hallmark Rococo motifs — asymmetrical scrolls, shell patterns, floral garlands, and flowing curves that lend it a sense of movement and grace. The ornate handles and richly detailed surface showcase exceptional craftsmanship and artistic flair.
The Rococo style, associated with the reign of King Louis XV (1723–1774), emerged as a reaction to the monumental Baroque of Louis XIV. It celebrates lightness, natural forms, and playful elegance, intended for the intimate and refined interiors of the French aristocracy.
With its intricate detailing and graceful form, this jardinière captures the timeless spirit of Rococo beauty and sophistication, embodying the charm and fluid artistry that define the Louis XV aesthetic.
