Bronze Buddha Head with Monumental Presence This expressive Buddha head is crafted from a warm copper alloy and combines a calm, broad face with strongly stylized hair curls, a raised urna, and long openwork earlobes. The visual language is Nepalese-Himalayan inspired and also shows clear Southeast Asian influences. It is precisely this fusion that gives the sculpture a powerful and unique character. The head is traditionally hollow-cast. The smoothly polished facial features contrast beautifully with the lively surface of the hair and the layered crown. The closed eyes and modest smile lend the piece a serene presence, while signs of age around the ushnisha add a tangible historical depth. Iconography The urna on the forehead refers to spiritual insight. The elongated earlobes are a reminder of Siddhartha Gautama's royal lineage, while the ushnisha symbolizes wisdom and enlightenment.
