Product description
Set of two British antique andirons with beautiful age and use patina, qualitatively crafted from brass, marked on the back with an embossed stamp, and numbered 1058, dating from circa 1880.
Andirons, also called fire dogs, executed in a classic Victorian style with an ornamental vase element (urn motif), acanthus decoration and gracefully curved legs. Andirons are placed in pairs in an open fireplace to lift the firewood off the ground, which ensures better air supply and ventilation during burning.
These objects are in good antique condition, with signs of age and use appropriate for their age, such as discoloration and blue oxidation, but they are perfectly usable and very solid, check the photos for more details!
Dimensions: 19x22x36cm each.
Weight: 4.718kg together.
