Forged/hammered yellow tombac candlestick, designed and made by Jan Koldeweij, ornamental blacksmith in Voorburg, circa 1940-1944.
The yellow tombac (copper alloy) is darkly oxidized, except for the inside and bottom of the drip tray and the bottom of the base. The original yellow sheen can be restored by re-polishing the candlestick.
Dimensions: height with pin 45 cm; without pin 37 cm, bowl diameter 16.5 cm, base diameter 16.5 cm.
A separate, flat, yellow copper inner tray is also available to collect candle wax and to raise the candle.
