About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This wrought iron candlestick embodies the Brutalist aesthetic of the 1950s. Its sculptural silhouette and architectural allure make it a statement piece, representative of the design of this era, which celebrated raw materials.
Made entirely of iron, this decorative object features a deep black finish that accentuates its clean lines. The structure rests on a tripod base with delicately curled ends, contrasting with the strict verticality of the central stem. The latter is adorned with a decorative ring and terminates in a wide, flat cup with a spike, designed to hold and stabilize a tall candle.
The entire piece is in excellent condition, a testament to its robust construction. The natural patina of the metal adds an authentic dimension, preserving its structural integrity and original charm without significant alteration.
This large, freestanding candlestick integrates elegantly into both contemporary and classic interiors. Placed directly on the floor in a living room or entryway, it brings a sculptural presence and a touch of raw sophistication to the space.
