Follies collection (1989): Borek Šípek created this set as part of a famous Driade line that combined artistic craftsmanship with industrial production. Neo-Baroque and Postmodernism: Šípek rejected rigid minimalism. The "Alix" set is proof of this, thanks to forms that blend sensuality, irony, and an almost biological and floral inspiration. Function and Sculpture: While functional, each piece is conceived as an autonomous micro-sculpture, with twisted necks, decorative fretwork, and blades with fluid lines. Collectible Details: Today, the "Alix" set is no longer in production and is traded primarily in art galleries, auctions specializing in 20th-century design, or high-end modern antiques platforms. Complete sets or individual pieces protected by their original red felt covers (visible in your photo) maintain a high market value precisely because of their rarity.
