About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
A two-piece secretary cabinet, manufactured in the early eighties. This piece of furniture combines storage space with a compact workspace, a characteristic design from that period. Its functional and modular construction makes it a versatile object.
The cabinet is made of wood, finished in a cream-colored lacquer with contrasting blue accents on the back panel and drawer fronts. The upper part functions as a bookcase, while the middle segment reveals a lockable, fold-out desk with small storage compartments. The lower cabinet has two spacious drawers for extra storage. A label with German text suggests a West German origin, fitting the style of that era.
The furniture is in a vintage condition that testifies to a rich past. The construction is solid and all mechanical parts, such as the fold-out desk and the drawers, are functional. The presence of stickers on the surface gives the piece a personal character and offers the possibility for a restoration project.
This secretary cabinet is an excellent solution for a home office, study, or bedroom where space needs to be utilized efficiently. The design fits well within a retro or eclectic interior and offers both a decorative and a practical function.
