Product description
A Cloud three-seater sofa by the Danish design brand Bolia, designed by the Spanish Yonoh Creative Studio—the same designers and the same construction as the Cloud armchairs from this collection—now available as a matching three-person sofa. The most recognizable detail of the Cloud series is that the backrest flows seamlessly into wide, integrated armrests: there is no separate armrest or seam on the side, making the sofa look like a continuous, softly rounded shell.
A fine piping runs along the entire top edge of that shell, sharply defining the shape and showing how carefully the furniture has been upholstered. The internal structure is constructed from FSC-certified wood, and the shell rests on four thin legs of black powder-coated steel, making the sofa appear remarkably light off the floor despite its width of over two meters.
With a length of 222 centimeters, a depth of 82 centimeters, and a seat height of 43 centimeters, the sofa offers ample seating comfort for three people side by side and fits against almost any wall of just over two meters. The seat depth of 58 centimeters also makes it suitable for slouching rather than sitting upright.
The upholstery is an old rose wool fabric with a lively, subtle texture. It is a muted, warm color that combines well with natural oak, black, white, and other earth tones, and appears softer than a bright or cool pink. Bolia explicitly positions the Cloud series as lobby and lounge furniture as well, making this sofa equally suitable for a living room as for a reception area, practice, or waiting room.
The woven brand label Bolia.com is present in the seam of the upholstery, visible in the photos. The Cloud series is still in production at Bolia.
