Product description
Sublime covered dragée box in brown earthenware, a major art craft piece from Namur production of the 1950s/1960s. This collector's item is attributed to the aesthetic research of Yvette Manoy (1929-2018), an emblematic figure of 20th-century Walloon ceramics. The removable lid features meticulous champlevé enamel work: powerful black outlines isolate cells with intense colors (golden yellow, cobalt blue, and turquoise), standing out against the famous milky and flowing white enamel so characteristic of the Namur school. The box is adorned on its body and base with a deep manganese black glaze. The underside reveals the artist's official "YM" monogram above her mold and workshop model number "395". Features: • Dimensions: 10 cm diameter x 5 cm height • Material: Glazed brown earthenware • Markings: Initials YM + number 395 engraved on the back • Condition: Excellent vintage condition, no cracks, no chips. A beautiful, graphic, and precious display object, ideal for discerning collectors of Mid-Century Belgian design. Ultra-secure professional shipping guaranteed.
