Product description
Elegant floral suspension in thick glass paste, which can be dated to the 1970s, made in the French Art Nouveau style of the early 20th century. The glass is shaped into four curved petals, in a plain pale blue tone that becomes opalescent when lit or against the light, revealing a very soft greenish tint and a subtle diffusion of light through the thick material.
It is assembled using the traditional stained-glass technique, soldered with a lead/tin alloy.
The piece has been rewired and rebuilt using a mix of old and new components:
Ivory twisted fabric cord, matching the glass
Vintage B22 bayonet socket
Hand-formed brass scroll, based on vintage chandelier element
70 cm iron chain (also vintage) for suspension, total height adjustable up to 1 meter
Matching ceiling rose included
