An elegant floral pendant light made of thick glass paste, dating from the 1970s, crafted in the early 20th-century French Art Nouveau style. The glass is shaped into four curved petals in a uniform pale blue tone that becomes opalescent when illuminated or backlit, revealing a very soft greenish hue and a subtle diffusion of light through the thick material.
It is assembled using traditional stained-glass techniques and soldered with a lead/tin alloy.
The piece has been rewired and rebuilt using a mix of vintage and new components:
Ivory twisted fabric cord, matching the glass
Vintage B22 bayonet socket
Hand-formed brass scroll, based on an antique chandelier element
70 cm iron chain (also antique) for suspension, total height adjustable up to 1 meter
Matching ceiling rose included
