Product description
This ceramic vase is a characteristic example of mid-20th century design from the former Czechoslovakia. Produced in the 1960s, it is distinguished by its sculptural silhouette and vibrant glaze. The shape, consisting of a narrow neck, a bulbous middle section, and a stable base, is typical of the aesthetic of this period.
The vase is made of ceramic and features a deep blue, reactive glaze. This type of glaze creates unique patterns where lighter shades of blue run over the darker base, creating a speckled texture that makes each piece unique. The interior is in a contrasting creamy white color. The model number "6089" is embossed on the underside, indicating its origin and production series.
The piece is in very good condition, consistent with its age and careful use. The glaze is intact and retains its original luster. Fine crazing is visible on the inside, a natural sign of aging in vintage ceramics, which contributes to the authentic character of the object.
With its expressive color and form, this vase is a striking accent for any interior. It is excellent as a standalone piece on a sideboard, on a shelf, or as part of a collection of Mid-Century ceramics and fits well with modern or eclectic interior styles.
