The Cassina Maralunga 3-seater sofa, designed by Vico Magistretti, is an iconic piece of furniture in Italian design history. This specific model stands out for its timeless silhouette and distinctive adjustable backrests, which offer both comfort and a sleek aesthetic.
This sofa features high-quality blue textile upholstery, which adds subtle texture and depth to the design. The structure rests on an unobtrusive dark base, further emphasizing the soft, voluminous shapes of the seat and armrests. The design combines functionality with an inviting appearance, typical of Magistretti's innovative approach in the 1970s.
The sofa is in very neat condition and shows minimal signs of careful use. The upholstery is intact, with only minor discoloration. The adjustable backrest mechanisms operate stiffly, so the sofa can currently only be used in the low version.
This piece of furniture looks excellent in a modern or eclectic interior. The deep blue color forms an elegant contrast with light wooden floors and neutral walls, and offers a comfortable, stylish foundation for any living space.
The sofa was reupholstered in this color 20 years ago by an official Cassina dealer; invoice available. A Protexx treatment was also performed at that time.
