Beautiful black lacquered mahogany sewing table or side table with turned 'bobbin' legs, late 19th century, France.
The table top folds open to reveal several small compartments along the side and the large compartment in the center, at the bottom there is also a trapezoidal drawer. There are two decorative floral brass bands all around which is a very nice detail.
This little table originally had a wood color, someone once decided to paint this table completely black, the result is a decorative and very useful object that looks beautiful in any interior!
The little table is in good antique condition, some partitions inside are missing, a superficial crack due to age on the table top, the whole thing is very charming and bears a nice patina of age, the key is missing, check the photos for more details!
