Product description
A superb Qing Dynasty table dating from the mid- to late 18th century, expertly crafted from elm (yumu) and retaining its original black lacquer finish, now enhanced with a beautiful aged crackle finish. Constructed with traditional mortise and tenon joints, the piece is complemented by delicately hand-formed curved supports that reflect the refined craftsmanship of Northern China.
Dimensions: 230 × 89 × 78 cm
Its exceptionally generous dimensions allow it to be used as a dining table, while retaining the elegant silhouette of a classic altar table.
The piece exhibits authentic signs of wear and age (see photos) and offers a compelling blend of character, patina, and timeless 18th-century character.
