About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
A classic three-piece salon set in the opulent Louis XV style, consisting of a three-seater sofa and two matching armchairs. This ensemble is characterized by its elegant, curved silhouettes and the combination of rich materials, evoking an atmosphere of historical grandeur.
The set is crafted with a hand-carved wooden frame, finished in gold and cream-colored paint that accentuates the detailed floral and rocaille motifs. The upholstery is in a deep purple velour, creating a striking contrast with the light woodwork. The characteristic cabriole legs and the undulating lines of the backrests are typical of the Rococo period that inspired this style.
The overall condition of the set is good and testifies to a rich past. The woodwork has developed an authentic patina, and the velour upholstery shows character appropriate for the age of the furniture. The construction of both the sofa and the armchairs is solid and retains its original shape.
This Louis XV set makes a statement in a classic or eclectic interior. The combination of the sofa and armchairs creates a complete and refined Seating area in a living room, salon, or reception area.
