The history of this design classic began in 1976, when Lucien Vlerick, then president of B.I.C.-Carpets, was impressed by the magic of the cobblestone streets on the Greek islands of the archipelago. These soft, gently rounded, uneven stones later became the inspiration for an icon in the world of floor coverings: the B.I.C. STONE rug.
The rug is made from 100% pure wool and produced using an elaborate Wilton weaving technique with loop pile. This construction ensures exceptional density and durability, underlined by a pile weight of approximately 3,920 g/m². The "Ivoire" shade is a subtle, ivory-colored cream that harmoniously blends into various color palettes. Production in Belgium guarantees high quality standards in rug manufacturing.
The overall condition of the rug is very good. The wool fibers are full and the structure is intact, reflecting the quality of the material and workmanship. It exhibits the characteristic charm of a carefully maintained natural fiber rug and is free from visible major defects.
