In the tradition of pottery from Central France, this hand-thrown stoneware pitcher bears the stamp of Grès du Berry pottery on its base, Made in France. Its bulging ovoid body, narrow neck adorned with raised turned grooves, and pinched spout give it a silhouette that is both robust and elegant, in keeping with traditional French utilitarian stoneware. The amber-brown glaze with golden highlights, achieved with iron oxide, reveals its full warmth in the light. The interior, made of light, slightly slipped stoneware, reveals the throwing marks. Height approximately 13 cm. In excellent condition, with intact glaze and no chips. A signed handcrafted piece that naturally finds its place in a kitchen with character or on a collector's shelf.
