Bernard Dufour (1922-2016) "Le rocher à Gibraltar" H.S.T Bernard Dufour, born November 21, 1922 in Paris and died July 22, 2016 in Foissac, Aveyron. Bernard Dufour became a full-time artist in the 1950s after being noticed and hired by gallery owner Pierre Loeb. His first canvases were abstract, but he soon turned to figuration. From 1959, he began to move away from abstraction, having models pose in his studio.
