Hand-painted wooden banana tree sculpture: sculpted trunk, detailed foliage, two-tone banana bunch (light green and yellow), on a dark wooden base. Height: approx. 30 cm. "S" on the trunk— Bernadette Schillings, Belgian-Swedish artist (born 1947, based in Sweden since 1977). This type of piece is part of the wave of botanical sculptures inspired by Bali, very popular in Sweden in the 1990s. Compact format and inscriptions on the "trunk": a rarer piece than the large formats usually found on the market. Very nice color nuances on the leaves. Condition: Although originally removable, all leaves and bananas have been glued to prevent loss. Complete banana tree, no missing parts. Dimensions: Height approx. 30 cm - Base 7x7 cm. Weight 240 grams.
