Large, handmade copper and brass wall sculpture in the shape of a sailing ship by Belgian artist Daniel Dhaeseleer.
The object is signed on the front. Beautiful anchor, anchor rope and finish on the back deck attached to the frame, creating a beautiful shadow effect when lit.
Vintage, mid - Century, Hollywood Regency, nautical style.
About the creator:
Dhaeseleer (1947-) studied at the Academy of Fine Arts and began as a graphic artist. He later evolved into bas-relief sculpture and three-dimensional art. He masters several techniques, but is especially specialized in working with different types of metals. His work has been exhibited in several exhibitions at home and abroad.
