Unique dining table created in the 1970s by a Belgian decorator in Ado Chale and Etienne Allemeersch’s entourage. The oblique-shaped table top is crafted in resin, displaying subtle shades of bronze green and grey, animated by almost mineral variations that lend its depth and an organic character. Its thickness reinforces its sculptural presence and engages in dialogue with the geometric precision of the base. The structure consists of a complex assembly of brass uprights and stretchers, each intersection secured by solid brass spheres that are both decorative and structural, ensuring cohesiveness while underscoring the meticulous attention to detail brought to this singular piece. This work recalls the leading Belgian designers of the 1970s, combining a sophisticated interplay between brutalism and chicness, where material itself becomes the primary subject. In great condition, this table has been fully restored and polished. It stands as a powerful statement piece, at the crossroads of design and sculpture.
