Private sellerProduct description
This is an authentic Belgian Army officer's sabre, an object with a rich military history. The piece is characterized by its classic design, including the detailed brass hilt typical of ceremonial and service weapons from that period. The sabre is crafted with a steel blade and a robust brass hilt. The grip is wrapped with dark leather and brass wire for a firm hold. Various markings are visible on the guard, including the number '1122' and an inspection stamp, confirming its military origin. The sabre comes with its matching steel scabbard. The overall condition of the sabre is consistent with its age and former use. The brass has developed a lived-in patina, and the steel parts show signs of time, contributing to the object's authentic character. The ensemble forms a complete historical set. As a Decorative Objects, this sabre is an impressive addition to a classic or eclectic interior. It is an interesting collector's item for militaria enthusiasts and can be beautifully displayed in a study, library, or display cabinet.
