The silhouette is understated, balanced, without superfluous ornamentation. The wheel-thrown stoneware features a beige glaze delicately speckled with brown, achieved by high-temperature firing. Light reveals a multitude of subtle nuances that bring the surface to life without ever disrupting the overall harmony. It brings to mind natural stone, sand, and dry earth. This speckled finish is typical of French stoneware workshops of the 1960s, a period when many potters rediscovered the beauty of natural materials and favored forms designed for daily use as much as for their decorative quality. No industrial production exactly reproduces these variations in material and color. In excellent condition, without cracks or restoration. A few discreet signs of use attest to its age. On a shelf, in the center of a table, or as a vase for a few branches, this pitcher fits equally well into a contemporary interior or a country home. Height, approximately 18 cm.
