About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This is an expressive sculpture by the Dutch artist Mat Wanders. The work, executed in a bronze-colored material, depicts a sitting baby in a lively, emotional pose, characteristic of the artist's figurative style.
The sculpture is made from a metal alloy with a dark brown, bronze patina that accentuates the details of the modeling. The texture of the hair and the folds in the clothing are carefully rendered, lending depth and realism to the piece. Its compact form makes it a versatile object that can be displayed in various locations.
The overall condition of the sculpture is very good, retaining its original finish and characteristic patina. The work bears the artist's signature on the back, confirming its authenticity. This type of sculpture demonstrates Wanders' skill in capturing human emotion and movement.
This sculpture is a subtle yet striking addition to an interior. It fits well on a dresser, in a bookcase, or on a desk, adding a touch of classic, figurative art to both modern and traditional settings.
