Product description
This is a glass Bowl, designed by the Czech glass artist Frantisek Zemek in 1956. The piece is a characteristic example of post-war Czech glass design, known for its organic and sculptural qualities.
The Bowl is made of clear, hand-formed glass and has an asymmetrical, wing-like shape that suggests dynamism and movement. A striking detail is the fused abstract element, executed in a rich palette of blue, red, and green. This colorful accent contrasts with the transparency of the Bowl itself. The design is representative of the innovative techniques Zemek developed at the Mstisov glass factory.
The overall condition of the object is excellent, in accordance with its age and careful preservation. The glassware is clear and shows no visible imperfections, allowing the original aesthetic of the design to be fully appreciated.
As an autonomous decorative object, this Bowl functions as an artistic statement in various interior styles, from Mid-Century Modern to contemporary. The piece can be presented on a sideboard, console, or coffee table, where it catches the light and brings the colors to life.
