Publisher: Librairie Albin Michel, Paris (early edition shortly after the founding of the publishing house around 1900).
Presentation: Luxury half-leather bindings with beautiful marbled boards (paper with a marble pattern), gold spine printing, and distinctive green spine labels.
Contents: An impressive and uniform set covering Hugo's various literary genres, including poetry (Oeuvre Poétique), theater (Théâtre), novels (Les Misérables, Quatrevingt-Treize), and historical and biographical works (Choses Vues, Avant l'Exil).
Unique extra:
As a tangible piece of history, one of the books contains an original newspaper article from La Dépêche dated May 23, 1885, regarding the death of Victor Hugo, which was carefully preserved in this early edition by a previous owner.
