The Moooi Emperor pendant lamp, designed by Neri & Hu in 2009, is a striking lighting object that immediately draws attention. The design is inspired by the classic Asian story of the nightingale, which is reflected in the characteristic birdcage shape of the shade. The lamp is crafted with a hand-woven shade of bamboo and rattan, finished in a deep black stain. Inside, a glass diffuser envelops the light source and ensures a soft, warm diffusion of light. With a generous diameter of 100 cm and a height of 73 cm, this pendant lamp has a significant spatial presence. The fixture comes complete with a black braided cord and a matching black ceiling rose. The object is in excellent condition and retains its original structural integrity and deep color.
