Crafted in the classical tradition, seated in the elegant Lalitasana posture. Product Details Period: 2nd half of the 20th century Material: Bronze alloy with a high-quality gilded finish Provenance: Taiwan Collection (Crane Bird Nexus) Expertise & Condition Although this statue has a beautiful antique appearance with carefully applied signs of wear, we date this object to the 2nd half of the 20th century. It is a very high-quality reproduction of an 18th-century model. The manual finishing, the remnants of pigment, and the sealed bottom plate (Vishwa Vajra) attest to a level of craftsmanship rarely seen in modern replicas. Symbolism Avalokiteshvara is depicted here with the Amitabha Buddha in the crown.
